- Taylor Swift was born on 13th December 1989 in Reading, Pennsylvania, United States.
- She comes from a family with lots of connections to the financial industry. Several of her ancestors were bank presidents, her father is a financial adviser and her mother used to work as a marketer for a mutual fund.
- She lived on a Christmas tree farm as a young child.
- She loved horse riding and her family owned several horses and ponies.
- From the age of nine, Taylor Swift developed her love of performing music. Inspired by the songs of Shania Twain and LeAnn Rimes, Taylor started to perform at small festivals, fairs, talent contests and karaoke contests.
