  1. Michael Jordan was born on 17th February 1963 in Brooklyn, New York.
  2. He is 6′ 6″ tall.

  1. Michael moved from Brooklyn to North Carolina when he was very young, and he went to high school in Wilmington.
  2. In high school he played baseball, football and basketball.
  3. He received a basketball scholarship from the University of North Carolina and he made the winning shot against Georgetown in the 1982 NCAA Championship game. The Georgetown team featured Patrick Ewing.
  4. Jordan entered the 1984 NBA Draft and was selected third by the Chicago Bulls. Hakeem Olajuwon and Sam Bowie were chosen in front of him.
