  • Liz Pichon is an illustrator and author of children’s books.
  • She studied graphic design at London’s Camberwell School of Art.

  • Before becoming a writer, she worked as an art director for Jive Records.
  • She has also worked as a freelance illustrator.
  • Liz Pinchon has illustrated several books written by other people. These titles include: Twilight Rhymes Moonlight Verse, Spinderella and The Three Billy Goats Fluff.
  • Some of the titles Liz Pinchon has both written and illustrated include: The Very Ugly Bug, Bored Bill and Penguins.
  • In 2011 the first novel in her Tom Gates series was published. It was called The Brilliant World of Tom Gates, and it was followed by several other Tom Gates books, including: Tom Gates: Excellent Excuses, Tom Gates: Genius Ideas and Tom Gates: Best Book Day Ever.
  • She has three children.
  • Francesca Simon, author of the Horrid Henry books, is a big fan of the Tom Gates books.
  • The Tom Gates books have won many awards, including: the Roald Dahl Funny Prize, the Red House Book Award and the Blue Peter Book Award.
