  • David Beckham was born on 2nd May 1975 in Leytonstone, London.
  • He played for a youth team called Ridgeway Rovers.

  • He signed for Manchester United when he was 14. His parents were massive Man U fans and Beckham had been the Manchester United mascot when the team played West Ham at Upton Park in 1986.
  • Beckham made his Premier League debut for Manchester Utd on 2nd April 1995.
  • He scored a memorable goal on 17th August 1996 when he scored from the halfway line against Wimbledon.
